Sandi Bergman

Sandi Usrey Bergman served as President/CEO of Bergman Broadcasting Company, Inc. (KSEL AM/FM) and RICKochet Communications, Inc. (KSMX FM) from 1994-2002.

 

In 1997, she was recognized by the Small Business Administration as a finalist for "Small Business Person of the Year", and her companies were featured as "Showcase Businesses" by the New Mexico Small Business Development Center.

 

During their tenure, Sandi and husband Mark, Vice President and co-owner of the companies, achieved significant goals in both total listener numbers and station revenues. Also, Bergman Broadcasting Company, Inc. and RICKochet Communications, Inc. received numerous awards from the New Mexico Broadcasters' Association for news, public service and production. Under their leadership, 95.3 KSEL Country  and MIX 107.5 received "Station of the Year" on several occasions.

 

Sandi received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Mass Communications with a TV/Radio emphasis from Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) Portales, New Mexico, in 1979. ENMU is recognized as having one of the top ten TV/Radio programs in the country. In 2000, the Eastern New Mexico University Alumni Affairs department recognized Sandi with the prestigious Distinguished Service Award. She is a past member of the Portales Rotary Club where she was named a Paul Harris Fellow, and she is actively involved in the National Association of Media Brokers (NAMB). Sandi also serves as Founder/President of RadioTVDeals.com, the "Nation's Largest Marketplace for Stations for Sale."
